AMA Midwest II Region Regional Retreat Recap

November 08, 2017 7:00AM

AMA Minnesota had the pleasure of hosting the American Marketing Association Midwest Regional Retreat in Minneapolis on November 3-4, 2017.  AMA chapter leaders from Chicago, Iowa, Lincoln, NE, Madison, WI, Milwaukee, WI, Northeast Wisconsin, and Omaha, NE were present as well as AMA CEO, Russ Klein.

Throughout the retreat, leaders shared and discussed chapter visions and goals and what it means to be a consistent, positive leader of the AMA.  The key presentation by CEO Russ Klein and AMA support center personnel focused on new AMA initiatives and how the AMA continually seeks to be an essential global community for marketing professionals, marketing academics and students by:

  • Connecting members to their marketing needs
  • Allowing members to feel connected, empowered and confident
  • Providing a variety of AMA resources, tools and access to a job board
  • Opportunities to participate and enhance skills by volunteering

All these components make AMA a community where marketers can all come together to learn from one another and advance in their careers. To demonstrate how important the AMA community is, the AMA is making it a priority to invest in the following new initiatives:

  • Offering exclusive executive-level programs and benefits for senior-level AMA members
  • Professional Certified Marketer certifications
  • Technology updates across AMA marketing channels

As the marketing industry evolves, so does the AMA.  Continue to follow AMA MN for more updates on these exciting enhancements and if you’re interested in learning more about AMA member benefits, please visit ama.org.
