Job Title: Between Job Opportunities

1. Why did you decide to become a volunteer with AMA MN?

I relocated back to Minnesota in the early days of the pandemic and wanted to start making connections in the market.

2. What do you enjoy most about being a volunteer on your committee?

Marketing people are my people - from creatives, media, strategy, production and everyone in between.

3. Why is being a volunteer with AMA MN important to you?

Especially at this volatile time, it is fulfilling to contribute, connect and commiserate with others through AMA MN.

4. What’s the one thing you wish others knew about volunteering with AMA MN? What makes it unique?

What makes it unique? Talking to marketing folks from different disciplines is so interesting and such a good reminder of how broad our industry really is. I like being able to bring my skills to the table as well as learn about new areas I didn't have the opportunity to explore in my professional roles.

5. What is some of the best advice you've received in your career?

There will come a moment when you hit the point of diminishing returns, either from a professional development or mental and physical health standpoint. It is okay to take a breath when you get there.

6. Besides volunteering, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I held onto my Minnesota sports fandom even after moving away (and despite the heartbreak that brings with it). I also enjoy a good craft beer, reading and cooking.
