Volunteer Spotlight: Diana Osberg

May 30, 2025 4:43pm

Everything that AMA Minnesota offers would not be possible without the amazing work of our volunteers. Often their work is done behind the scenes. To thank our volunteers and bring their efforts to light, we regularly showcase them in a Volunteer Spotlight.

Meet Diana Osberg!

AMA MN Volunteer Committee: Programming – Past roles as VP and AVP of Programming

Volunteer Since: April 2021

Job title: Marketing Director

1. Why did you decide to become a volunteer with AMA MN?

I attended the Ad Bowl in 2018 and met so many good people in advertising and marketing. I got recruited at Ad Bowl in 2019 and have been involved ever since.

2. What do you enjoy most about being a volunteer on your committee?

The marketing landscape evolves quickly and I get to create events where people can learn, grow and connect.

3. Why is being a volunteer with AMA MN important to you?

I have fun while building a community and learning new skills. Plus I love to lead events rather than just attend them.

4. What’s the one thing you wish others knew about volunteering with AMA MN? What makes it unique?

There’s an opportunity for any amount of time you have to give. Official committees include Membership Experience, Programming, Sponsorship, MARCOM and Collegiate but you can create your own opportunities as well.

5. What is some of the best advice you’ve received in your career?

Get comfortable with analytics, automation, AI insights and CRM systems. Understanding how to measure ROI and optimize campaigns will set you apart. You can stay ahead with the AMA and the access to exclusive resources, training and networking.

6. Besides volunteering, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy the great big world and heading to Iceland, Dublin, Prague and Berlin. Dog walks, podcasts, endurance sports. Aspiring sourdough baker.
