Meet Kristin Miller!

Marketing Manager @ Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS). Member since 2015.

Why did you decide to join AMA MN? I joined the AMA because I wanted to have a better pulse on marketing strategies and tactics as marketing continued to expand and evolve.

Why is being a member of AMA MN important to you? It is great to belong to a community of smart marketers and to feel more connected to the industry.

What’s one of your favorite AMA MN events and why? My favorite events have been trainings that were deep dives into a specific topic. I love that I can walk away with a list of tangible action steps to make our marketing efforts more effective or efficient.

What is some of the best advice you’ve received in your career? “Seek to understand before seeking to be understood” is advice that I reflect back on both in interpersonal communications, but also in marketing messaging as we need to first understand our audience to make messaging effective.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? In my free time I love to travel and explore outdoors with my husband and son. From four-wheeling off-road adventures and fishing in Mille Lacs to hiking four national parks, we have gotten a lot of outdoor time in this year!
