Collegiate Committee

Help AMA MN support tomorrow’s marketing leaders! Increase awareness and engagement among current and prospective collegiate members. Position AMA MN as the “go to” marketing association for students, universities and colleges. Coordinate student liaisons, events, sponsorships, and internships for collegiate chapters and members.

Looking for volunteers with the following skills:

  • Strong network in business community
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work cross-functional across a large, dynamic organization
  • Experience planning, organizing and managing volunteers a plus!

DEI & Community Relations Committee

Passionate about building community and creating meaningful impact through marketing? Help foster connections across collegiate, academic, and professional marketers while advancing initiatives that support diversity, equity, and inclusion. This committee focuses on driving engagement, supporting accessible membership opportunities, and integrating DEI principles into MN AMA programming and outreach.

Looking for volunteers with the following skills:

  • Strong collaboration and cross-functional teamwork
  • Interest in community engagement and relationship-building
  • Strategic thinking and data-driven decision making
  • Experience or passion for DEI initiatives and programming
  • Communication and content development skills

Marketing & Communications (MarComm) Committee

Interested in helping spread the word? The Marcom Committee manages all marketing and communication going to members and prospective members of the AMA Minnesota chapter, including brand identity, event and membership promotion, and development and distribution of educational content. The committee works closely with all other chapter committees to fulfill marketing and communication needs through:

  • AMA MN website
  • Email marketing
  • Social media
  • Graphic design and photography 
  • Marketing collateral materials

Membership Committee

Are you a current member with a passion for AMA MN? Do you enjoy meeting new people and relationship building? Manage member relationships including recruiting, retaining, engaging and educating current and prospective members and volunteers by sharing the value of an AMA MN membership and being a part of our organization.

Looking for volunteers with the following skills:

  • Willing and eager to speak about the benefits of AMA MN membership and volunteership
  • Personable, outgoing and friendly
  • Availability to meet with current and prospective members and volunteers for informational phone calls and meetings

Sponsorship Committee

Interested in corporate partnership market development? Strengthen the AMA MN community by identifying and securing corporate sponsors. Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses. Procure both fiscal and in-kind sponsorships for AMA MN.

Looking for volunteers with the following skills:

  • Strong and large local network in business community
  • Sales and marketing background
  • Strong planning and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable with cold calling and business development a plus

Programming Committee

Enjoy event management and partnering with industry experts? Create and execute AMA MN monthly events including speaker recruitment, venue management and promotional content collaboration with speakers and Marcom Committee. 

Looking for volunteers with the following skills:

  • Excellent project/program management skills 
  • Strong planning and interpersonal skills
  • Event planning a plus
