AMA Minnesota is seeking nominations for individuals to serve on the Board of Directors. If you are interested in getting more involved with your local marketing community, we encourage you to fill out the application and submit it with a copy of your resume via email to A nomination committee will carefully consider each application.

Board terms are two years. Anyone elected to the board must be (or become) a member of AMA. Channel your passion and serve on the AMA Minnesota Board of Directors to:

Applications are currently being accepted for the following positions:

AVP of Membership

The AVP of Membership works with the VP of Membership to create and implement plan to drive member retention and acquisition and lead volunteer committee members in executing that plan. This role is integral to the growth of the MN AMA chapter.

AVP of Programming

The AVP of Programming assists the VP of Programming, and is responsible for developing, implementing and executing the chapter's overall monthly program strategy aligning with the budget.

AVP of Marketing Communications

The AVP of Marketing Communications is responsible for assisting the VP Marcom in all marketing communications functions for the MN AMA including: chapter brand identity, the website, email, print collateral, direct mail, social media, public relations, and job board. They will direct and manage a team of professionals to develop and implement a marketing plan that enhances its members overall chapter experience and that leads to their professional and personal growth in the field of marketing and encourages prospects to attend events and become members.

AVP of Sponsorship

The Assistant Vice President of Sponsorship is responsible for supporting the Vice President of Sponsorship in identifying Chapter needs that may be supported by corporate sponsorships and coordinates programs to involve the business community in Chapter affairs. This individual assists in the procurement of both fiscal and in-kind sponsorships for the Chapter Assist in providing leadership, training and support that enables the sponsorship committee to leverage relationships utilizing proven tools that positively impact the chapter in the areas of finance, membership and programming.

AVP of Finance

The Vice President of Finance is responsible for supporting the board in ensuring sustained growth and stability of the chapter and mentoring the knowledge transfer to the AVP of Finance. The Finance team will work with the board to provide a strategic plan for funding for all programs, initiatives and campaigns, which will provide value to our members, support our chapter mission and reach our overall goals. With the assistance of the Executive Director, provide timely, accurate information for board members to proper accounting and tracking of revenues and expenses for each committee.

Director at Large - Research 

Lead chapter research initiatives, such as member surveys. Develop questionnaires and report on key findings, providing an overview of insights and implications.
