Board Nominations

AMA Minnesota is seeking nominations for individuals to serve on the Board of Directors. If you are interested in getting more involved with the local marketing community, we encourage you to fill out the application and submit it with a copy of your resume via email to office@amaminnesota.org. A nomination committee will carefully considered each application.

Board terms are one to two years, depending on the role. Anyone elected to the board must be (or become) a member of AMA. Channel your passion and serve on the AMA Minnesota Board of Directors. Board members:

  • Influence the direction of AMA MN
  • Acquire new leadership skills
  • Network with other marketing professionals

Assistant Vice President Board positions are available for the following committees:

Finance

  • Support the VP of Finance in ensuring sustained growth and stability of AMA MN.
  • Help track expenditures and revenues against the annual plan and committee goals.
  • Support board members to understand and manage their individual committee financials.

Volunteers

  • Help VP of Volunteers to recruit and engage with potential volunteers to define and place them with appropriate opportunities.
  • Assist in planning volunteer events and engagement activities.
  • Work with committees and volunteers to fill needs and ensure engagement.

Sponsorship

  • Assist VP of Sponsorship identify chapter needs that may be supported by sponsorships and help coordinate programs to involve the business community.
  • Monitor sponsor support to avoid conflicts of interest, and review chapter operating policies to make sure all chapter obligations to sponsors are met.
  • Help lead and support all sponsorship and development activities of the organization.
