Casey Carlson

Though he’s Montana-born and raised, Vice President of Marketing Casey Carlson is no cowboy when it comes to building and preserving the SPIRE Credit Union brand.  And he knows that brand like no other.  Casey’s career at SPIRE was built from the ground up after joining the organization as an entry-level teller in 1994 when the credit union was Twin City Co-ops Federal Credit Union.

Like many members of the SPIRE management team, Casey spent the next several years working with members on the front lines as a Branch Manager and then as a Regional Manager responsible for several branches.  Although he was part of many significant projects in his regional management role, Casey faced the biggest challenge of his career after his transition into marketing.  Casey managed a multi-year project to change the credit union name, re-brand the organization and create what is now SPIRE Credit Union. Throughout that initiative, he was tasked with retaining SPIRE’s member-centric mission – to improve the financial well-being of every member. To help make sure that mission was reached, Casey was certified in the Net Promoter Score® a worldwide standard for measuring and improving customer loyalty. He is also a graduate of CUNA Marketing School.

When he’s not doing marketing “stuff” for SPIRE, Casey enjoys spending time with his wife of over 20 years and his two boys. He is an avid softball and basketball player and coaches youth baseball. A graduate of Montana State University in Business Management and Marketing, Casey tries to return to Big Sky Country whenever he can.
