Eric Dettmer

Eric Dettmer is the Chief Human Resources Officer for Jack Link’s Beef Jerky since March 2018 with offices in downtown Minneapolis. Jack Link’s has 5,000 team members across North America, South America, Europe and New Zealand.

Eric came to Jack Link’s from Pentair where he was most recently the Senior Vice President of Human Resources supporting its global Water business units. During his 13 years with Pentair, Eric supported its Electrical, Water and Corporate Operations and Engineering functional organizations. Prior to Pentair, Eric worked for 11 years at Honeywell, formerly known as AlliedSignal, in various Human Resources capacities. Through its HR rotational development program, he held plant generalist, compensation, staffing, and talent management roles in numerous industries/divisions including Corporate, Automotive, Aerospace and Automation Controls.

Eric attended Michigan State University, where he earned both a Bachelors of Arts in Political Economics and a Masters in Labor and Industrial Relations. During his undergraduate studies, Eric also worked in the White House offices in Washington, DC, as an intern supporting the Office of Congressional Relations.

For fun, Eric competes in league ice curling, enjoys taking road trips across the country, kayaking, and has participated in competitive dance with his daughter. Today, Eric lives in the Minneapolis area with his wife Kelly and their daughter, Kaylee, while his oldest daughter, Alaina, attends Arizona State University.
